She spends some time there, mostly in prayer and contemplation, but also in looking at the trees and plants that make up the garden. Eventually, damp around the edges with Lirron's abundant rainfall, she enters the main Cathedral and looks about. She doesn't seem to see what she is looking for, and paces slowly to every shrine, spending time at each. The last she visits is the Traldan shrine. Once she's made a prayer to the Lady of Luck, she rises and sits in one of the pews. She doesn't seem entirely comfortable, playing with the hem of her tunic as she waits.

Elandowyn enters the cathedral and kneels before the shrine in prayer after a time she rises notices Elspeth in the pews. She smiles and approaches.
"Greetings Elspeth. Is there anything I can help you with?"

Elspeth hesitates nervously, swallows, and speaks.
"Greetings," she says, in Elven.
Reverting to Ithronian, she continues, "When I was growing up by the Tweed, Elves would visit my father sometimes. They'd stay a few days, talk with him and leave. I never knew why. Once, when I was a small child, one of them taught me a few words. I never saw him again, and none of the others would let me learn. I've always wanted to learn the language. I was wondering, possibly, if you wouldn't mind helping me?"
She looks anxiously at Elandowyn.

Elandowyn looks visibly stunned and impressed at the greeting and bows respectfully.
"You wish me to instruct you in Elven? Of course I would be delighted to help!"

Elspeth smiles in relief.
"Thank you so much. There have been so many Elves that have refused to teach me, I was almost wondering if I was forbidden in some way. My father spoke Elven, but he wouldn't teach me either, and now he's in Kharach's halls..." Her voice trails away.

She nods sadly as she sits down.
"It's true that many elves can be stand offish and reluctant to communicate with those outside their communities. However I am not that kind of Elf. I am one of the ones that knows what it is like to be different and wanting to be understood. Perhaps your father felt that he was respecting the tutors he had who may have taught him after many years of trading and friendship."

Elspeth smiles.
"That's much more likely than my childhood idea that he just didn't want me to know what they were speaking about. He taught me so much else. Maybe, even, he didn't consider it as important as the other things I needed to learn. It's funny how he managed to give me so many of Lord Longstor's principles without following Him especially."

Gray walks slowly into the cathedral, looking around him as he does so. He walks directly to the shrine to Crowa, he kneels before it and whispers a quiet prayer. He then stands again and walks away. He casts his gaze around the cathedral until his eyes fall upon two figures he recognises, he makes his way quickly and quietly towards the Traldan shrine. "Ladies, sorry to interrupt. Elspeth, Sir Wulfric has asked me to give a little extra payment to those who saved him from the Khonnish." He extends his hand, 2 crowns lie on his palm.

Elspeth takes the coins.
"That is most generous of Sir Wulfric. Have you managed to track down the others that were with us on that hiring?"

"Only you and Matthias, so far. I'm not entirely sure of how to find the others now, the Redfields haven't been around recently. Plus I don't remember there being 6 of us that day, I can only remember 5."

"Were you given payment for six? I cannot remember either. For the Redfields, you could leave the money with the Mercenaries' Guild in Barra, so they can collect it when they are paying their guild fees."

"Yes, I was handed 12c and told that the payment was 2c to each of us. I will pay a visit to the Merenaries Guild on my way back to Dunlirron, sadly I am unable to stay for tomorrow's hiring, there are things I must attend to."

"Before you leave, I believe this is yours."
She holds out a small package done up in brown paper.

With a puzzled look, Gray takes the package and opens it.

It contains a small green bottle marked with alchemical symbols, and a label marked 'Allheal'.
