Today is a holy day of our Lord Sidhe, known as 'All Saints' Day'.
This is a day when we remember all those who have fallen in the service of the Gods. In the time before, it was custom to set aside an anniversary of the Saint's death to commemorate them, but the world is a harsh place and the numbers of heroes and martyrs of the Gods are too numerous to celebrate separately.
Thus, All Saints' Day was begun as a tradition, where we reflect on those who have gone before us and gave their lives in the service of the Gods of Light.
But not only those who have become Saints after their death are considered on this day. It is also a day to remember those who have passed on, and although I'm only beginning my career I have seen death and destruction these last few years and I wish to remember those who fell to keep the rest of us safe.
I plan to attend the hiring for adventurers this morning, and I hope that any of you who wish to talk of this will feel free to ask.
