A notice appears on the front of an old shop. "Arran Armouries - purveyor of quality craftsmanship & finely wrought weaponry. Opening soon!"
OOC NOTE: I'll also be making another batch of larp weapons shortly too.

A new notice appears on the freshly repainted shop front: "Arran Armouries - Now open! Offering armour repairs at discounted rates" When you enter Arran can be found sitting at a bench stiching up a light leather jerkin. OOC: I'll be at next Edinburgh & Glasgow FnH events if anyone wants to collar me for larp weapon makes or repairs on the cheap

A cart arrives outside Arran Armouries bearing the Blacksmith's Guild logo. Arran greets the driver and spends the next few hours unloading barrels and crates of merchandise into the store front.

Jamus enters the shop, eyes roving over the examples of arms and armour speculatively. He seems particularly interested in the metal armours.

"You can indeed" says Jamus, "I'm interested in getting some better armour, metal rather than this leather stuff. I'm torn between some solid plated metal, or chain, I'd value an expert opinion. What would you recommend?"

"Hmm" Arran scratches his chin sending a small blizzard of wood chips falling to the floor.
"Plate definitely offers the best protection that can't be argued. However it is encumbering and inflexible, and the amount of metal required makes it very pricey" proffers a had "this cuirass for example I could sell you for 9 crowns and two pennies"
"Where as chain and ring mail are much cheaper alternatives and offer better mobility which could allow a skilled fighter to simply avoid getting hit. Though would give out a blow or two earlier" Arran reaches inside an oiled bag and pulls out a short chain shirt "This I could sell you for 6 crowns"
Arran carefully folds the chain back into the bag and stands up brushing off his hands "Personally I believe wearing plate to cover your elbows, lower arms, knees and lower legs. Then having a long chain shirt for the rest gives you the best protection whilst still giving mobility. But then that's just my opinion, I'm sure a knight or a career mercenary would think differently"

A blacksmith guild wagon can be seen unloading equipment off at Arran's workshop.
Whilst a new sign outside proudly states "Arran Armouries for all your smithing needs, quality at the lowest prices"
