Lysandus wanders into Dave's shop, a look of discomfort upon his features. Glancing at the various impliments stacked away, he shudders slightly and turns his attention to where it needs to be, "Dave. I believe I have a proposition for you, though likely not one to be discussed in your open establishment, if you catch my meaning."

"Ly great tae see ye again" Dave looks around circumspectly "How about a drink at your place later and we can talk about it?"

"Sounds fair to me. I'll be in the Mages enclave. It's where I am doing the majority of my research at the moment." And then, Lysandus walks out with a wave.

"Aye that be me" Dave comes out of a back room with a dagger made of a strange material (Theeril) in one hand and a whet stone in the other. He puts the dagger and stone under the counter and smiles as he looks up. "Whit can I be doing fae ye?"

'Raising his eyebrows with interest at the strange dagger'
I'm Arran, Master McGowan, an apprentice with the guild.
And I'm setting up a shop front in Lirron, and thought that I should introduce myself to the senior smith in the area.
I was also wondering if you had any tips for a junior guilds member?

"Oh, a pleasure ta see a fine new adventurin' Smith", Dave wipes his hands on a rag and offers his hand to Arran.
After a brief hand shake, Dave leans on the counter.
"Advice fae a Junir Smith, huh?" Dave's eyes seem to be looking into the distance somewhere and after a brief pause continues.
"Well firstly dinne be afraid tae bid or quote on any commission. Some things are nae worth a Seniors time tae make an' most o' us would rather see a junior get te work, so ye can often make a small profit on them if ye get in first"... a brief pause... "Get ye sel' on tae te National Market, many folks be asking fae leather armour and such like, ye canne rely on ye local community tae make ye enough fae ye fees and savin' up tae get ye forge and tools... what Rank dae ye hold anyhow?"
"When oot adventurin' makes sure folkes ken ye are nae a career mercinary or scout even iffn ye be in te guild. Ye should fight, aye, but ye should make yeself more useful fixin' armour. Keep ye eyes oot fae better quality items iffn ye ken how and ye nae tae squeemish te take it aff te dead,"
Dave looks out the window "Oh, them toy soldiers be our Earls new toys. I respect te 7, but these lot have cut doon anyone o' te faith. Well walls have ears and I be saying nothin' else aboot em." Dave's eyes linger on one in the distance a slight squint as if he is trying to see something specific.
"So ye have listened tae me babble, was there somethin' more specific ye wanted tae know about?"

"I think I've just been granted the Journeyman rank but I'm still waiting on being told for sure. I don't think I can make any finished goods till I'm confirmed as a guildsman, well not any that would be worth selling anyway. Thankyou for all the advice Master now I better get back to Lirron or I'll miss the grand tournament."
Shaking hands again briefly Arran leaves

Lysandus walks in, in his usual fashion with a smile, "Dave. I've a little work for you and a query. I have a piece of Ironwood that was aquired this weekend from Dunlirron and I wish it made into a staff. How much would you charge for the work. Secondly, does Sir Duncan frequent you for his armour repairs? If so, I would like to put into his account fifteen crowns so that he can continue as such. If not, then perhaps you and I can work something out. I've my own reasons for such a thing and do not particularly feel like explaining it."

"Ly, good tae see ye again" dave nods "aye how was te tourney? I be a little upset I missed it"
"Ironwood ye say, you be fourtunate. Ill need tae see te piece, but iffn it be large enough we can come tae a price."
"Duncan does use my services fae makin' his equipment, I dinne ken last time he brought his armour in fae repair. I'm be happy tae take ye coin an fae a good deed like this, nae questions. I might suggest ye speak wit him about iffn he needs repairs, I belive some nobles can afford tae retain te services o a guild smith fae such things" Dave ponders a momnet " well even iffn he does not need my services fae armour repairs he has been needin' weapon and shield repairs... Anyhow only Duncan can tell ye what he be needin'. But yes, in principle ye give me money and tell me what its fae and thats what it gets used fae."

"Then would you be so kind as to forward any bills he recieves to myself up to fifteen crowns. It would allow me to maintain things and such. I'd rather not tell him I've done it, so I'll arrange it this way."
"As for the piece, I've got it in a bag in the Enclave. I'll bring it to you."

"If we consider what has been discussed in private, we could arrange a one for one. With the bow?"
