Evelyn approaches the temporary shrine that the priests of Barra have errected and kneels in prayer before the alter, meditating on her failings, her duty and her vision.
Once she has finished she bows and turns to the attendant priests.
"I am looking for the Kharachian Sister who is an adventurer. Do you know if I might find her here?"

One of the priests nods.
"I believe she left for the valley of the Upper Clyde soon after she returned to Braeloch. She is expected back today, I think her journey was merely to reassure her mother that all was well with her. And indeed, everything seemed to be very well."
A few minutes after he speaks, another black-robed figure approaches the shrine. What can be seen of her face somewhat belies the assurance of the priest. Sister Jennie is troubled by something.
She nods to the priests, and to Errant Evelyn, but does not speak until she has knelt silently before the shrine for some time.
Eventually she rises.
"Errant Evelyn."

"Sister" Evelyn says bowing. "If you have a moment I seek your guidance on matters of faith. I had hoped to also have guidance from my Order's chaplain however they have not yet replied to my missive"

"Of course. Though I am not of much experience within the Church, I will help in any way I can."

"Very well. As you are aware I am serving penance to our Lord Kharach as I have fallen from his graces. I wish further guidance and meditation on this matter as while I follow my penance I do not feel this is enough."
She takes a breath
"I also wish to speak with you regarding the matter of the choice presented by the Alshanti regarding the division of Sidhe's children. I had spoken briefly with my leige on the matter before she passed but that was also before I received the vision." Evelyn starts unconciously rubbing her left palm through her glove. "I saw the outcome but no guidance on the choice. Did you see anything?"

"Errant, our Lord is patient and he is merciful. The penance set is what he requires. If more was needed, more would have been set. That said, there is nothing wrong with either trying to hold yourself to a high standard, or with seeking deeper understanding of our Lord's ways. Do you feel you understand why you fell from his graces? I know you were affected, as I was, by the sending on of the Head of the Black Order."
Jennie looks down. Her hands clasp and unclasp her holy symbol.
"The other matter...
"I also received a vision. But in my vision, there was no outcome. All I saw was that the choice had to be made. I do not know what my Lord wishes. And I fear my own judgement is skewed... I have prayed and meditated, to try to clear my mind of my history and focus on the choice in the present, but it is difficult.
"If the merging of our Lord and his dark sister restores her to the light, it is something we must all strive for. If, however, it darkens our Lord, I cannot choose to go that way. And I have trouble seeing how a merging could lead to anything but an averaging of light and dark. I do not wish to walk a path only of death, but of swift, merciful death and an end to suffering.
"I have just returned from a visit to the Upper Clyde, where my mother lives. My father and my older brother are both in Kharach's Halls, so she lives alone. We are both Kharachian, as were they, and only feel glad that they are at peace with our Lord. The way of their deaths, however... They were both soldiers, fighting for the king. They encountered Bequifisians. They died, days later, mutilated and tortured."
It is difficult to see Jennie's expression, but her eyes are closed and she holds her holy symbol in both hands. She draws a deep breath and opens her eyes.
"I became a priestess, when I became old enough, partly to stop that happening to anyone else. And I can see that the redemption of the Bequifisians would do that. But I cannot see if that is what a merging of our Lord and Bequifis would lead to."
Jennie smiles.
"I am sorry, Evelyn. I am of little help."
