A fairly short, possibly halfling, or beardless dwarf, approaches the centre of the square, and proceeds to place a wooden beer crate, upturned, upon the ground. He clambers onto the crate, stands, and proceeds to clear his throat.
"Ahem! Peoples of Dunlirron!
A deconsecrated Sidhean shrine was discovered earlier in Shoring, after a hiring of some 'venturing lot opened a large locked door within the catacombs discovered a wee way up north from 'ere.
It has been described that there were t'ree heavy, immovable, unbreakable doors with some kinda sigils engraved upon them, depicting the light six, all bar Sidhe himself. One door is already 'alf open, with thanks to Chaplain Rose, Father Grayson.
The Kharachian church would like a group of rather competent 'venturers to check that nothing nasty resides beyond those sealed doors. Furthermore, the Sidhean church would like the deconsecrated shrine to be reconsecrated at some point.
There are theories that other shrines lie behind these said doors, and rumours that the shrines are somehow 'nected.
I am here to pass on deese requests from the churches, that some of yous lot go to these catacombs 'morrow and see what be going on up der.

He bends over, struggling to climb down off of the beer crate, and tumbles over onto his backside upon extending his foot to the ground. He promptly gets back onto his feet and proudly stands aside the box, eagerly awaiting peoples' approach and queries.
