I am looking to contact Jusstarian Langriass.
It's about the task never completed.
Please find me at the Barras inn where I will be staying for the week. This is regarding a possible hiring this coming weekend.

*Juss Enters the Barras Bar, looks around and notices a few of his old aquaintences from the Barra malitia*
*walking over to the Bar* I guess I have a pitcher of the ale... You know I'll never get used to this stuff.

Baroness Glass rises from her seat by the corner, turning and asking her three elven guards to wait by the table. She waits until Juss has ordered his drink and then approaches him.
"I'm glad that you're here, Jusstarian." She says, then gestures over to her table. "Would you care to sit? I have some things to tell you."

"Ah Lady Glass, I was hoping you might still be here"
Gestures back towards the Barnoesses Table
"Shall we sit"
Juss follows he back to the table and pulls the hcair out slightly for the Baroness to seat herself and then sits in one of the recently vacated seats.
"Fogive me, I have had a great deal on my mind of late. Might you be related to, Saskia Glass?"

The Baroness sits down and smiles at Juss. "It is good to see you again. I wasn't sure if you would remember me, it's been a long time since you left the Glen."
"Yes, Saskia, silly girl. Quite defiant, I'm told. Refusing the ways of people and succumbing to the use of soulfire without the light of Lord Longstor's guidance behind her." She looks Juss up and down and frowns slightly. "But then, that seems to be becoming something of an epidemic."
She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes for a moment. "But this," she gestures to Juss's robes, "Is not relevant. There are more pressing matters to attend to."
"You have not been home in a long time. Your mother and father hoped that you were well but... The stories of Bowfing and the undead that have taken it left them wondering. Your parents were - are - brilliant and hard working people, your mother works alongside the magi, and your father is still one of the most fierce warriors that we have.
At least, I pray that he is. He was on guard duty as we have had to increase the patrols recently. He was taken by some sort of undead creature. We believe that he may have been bitten by a vampire, from one of the accounts. The undead have been attacking our borders at quite a rate in the last few months, but so far they have had no successes. Until recently. I am worried that if we do not find him in time, that he may succumb to undeath. I'm not sure whether he was of faith - it may be that the vampire must be destroyed in order to save him. Though we must hurry, he has been missing almost a week already."
"But the corruption the undead are spreading has already spread to the outer forest. Our people worry that the corruption comes from outsiders, and from consorting with the other races. They wish to shut our borders again. That would be a terrible tragedy for all the people of Clydesdale."
She takes a breath. "I think that it may be time for you to return to your duty, Juss. If you will. Your father's soul may depend on it."

"It was never my will to stay away for so long. On my way to Barra I did pass through what remained of Bowfing. I stood and fought the abominations to allow more of the villagers to escape. I am not sure how I survived, but I managed to hold out long enough for the militia to be summoned and save me from what I understand would have been certain death. or worse."
There is a brief look of pain and remorse on Juss's face, before he continues
"It must have been the will of the 7 for I am still here today.
It was many moons however, before I came to and the peace had already been struck in that time. I was left with a task and no way to complete it."
Juss shakes his head and breaks out of his reverie
"Well this is getting us no closer to dealing with the current problem. Of course if I may assist the Glen, my family and our relations with the other races, please tell me what I must do"

She smiles and nods, listening to his words. "The undead are coming from the direction of Bowfing. It is reasonable to assume that the town is their base. I need you to take a group to the town and see if you can bring your father home to us. The undead are quite thick around the area, I don't know if you would be able to clear the town but if possible - it will help us defend our borders. We have had some others taken - your father was not the first. Please find them."
If you meet me at the gates to Barra this coming Sunday I can provide you with some resources and a purse to pay your group. Do you think you can find a group capable of helping you in this? I don't want to see you overwhelmed again."

"Dear Lady, there are now a goodly number of adventurers in Clydesdale. I will see about gathering a steadfast group to rescue those taken and to bring my father back to the glen.
If I may take my leave, I should go now and prepare. It might be a good time to contact my Master, the one training me in the uses of Soulfire. As you indicated I have had a change in my calling and will need to be more prepared than ever now. I do miss wearing armour sometimes."
Juss awaits an acknowledgement that his leaving is acceptable, Stands, bows and then swiftly leaves. Leaving an untouched drink on the table.

goes to the Chirch of Karach and explains the situation to them.
"I would request any advice and infgormation you might have on the various forms of undead we might be likely to face. Additionally I have been informed you might be able to provide a few resourses, stakes and such like that might prove useful?"

The priest at the church of kharach is an older man who listens to the tale and then nods curtly. "Vampires must be beaten with blessed blades, and then staked whilst they are incapacitated. It is a difficult task but I can provide you with a stake to see it done. Stakes are free from the church, so there is really no excuse for ever being without one.
"They tend to be able to cast spells also, to make you feel friendly towards them or stop you from attacking them. They are cunning and clever. Do not underestimate it. But be sure to attack during the day as it is then that they are weakest."
"Is there anything else I can do?"

Will a magically enchanted blade have the same effect? What kinds of servants or guardians do they usually have?

The priest nods, "Magically enchtanted would do... Yes. And I don't know, I have never personally met one. But I imagine they have all sorts of lesser undead under their control."
