"Um...."
Seryn ponders a moment. "I think I need more ale to refresh me memory... Oi... Keep!" she yells over, obnoxiously to the bar keep "fill us up again will ya?"
The keep grudgingly wanders over and picks up her tankard, muttering and mumbling as he walks away. He returns a moment or later with a freshly filled tankard of ale. Seryn takes it. "...madam..." "Cheers ma man!" She takes a swig.
"Now... lessee" She recalls in her mind, not that long ago when they were asked to go investigate a crime scene. "So this guy right, he asks us to go check out where this important guy was murdered or something. Said that there was a guy who they thought was didn't do it or stuff, and wanted us to find proof. I dunno about that stuff so I went along anyway. Actually, I think it was my first adventure. maaaaan.... that was fun times. We went back to the inn and had waaaay too much ale after... and there was this guy right, and he trying to get me to gamble my hard earned cash, and i was like no way, this is my hard earned coin. Go earn yer own I told him!..."
She rambles and digresses further and continues to drink her ale....
"... and then I waves my mace at him... and I says... I says..." She stops a moment, confused. "what was I talking about....?"
She mumbles to herself a bit, almost thinking out loud... "Oh! yeah! The guy! So we found the dead guy... man corpses stink! I wasn't for hanging around like, but ye know, they wanted to check out and look for clues and stuff. I dunno how to look for that kind of stuff, so I just wandered about looking for maybe a thing with clue written on it.... that's how you look for clues right?... So someone said there was some footprints an stuff, so we went off to look and we found two more dead people. They weren't quite as stinky as the other one like... one was a guard or something and the other one was all in black and stuff and we found a crushed scorpion on them.... oh! and I found this epic sword!"
She draws the sword from her belt, showing it of and swishing it round a little.... making the other occupants of the bar somewhat uneasy at her complete disregard that she's swinging a large blade around in an enclosed area while being fairly intoxicated. She passes the blade to Marcus so he can look it over more closely. "... pretty epic eh? So the guy said that it was a good sword and everyone said I could keep it cause I didn't have a sword, which yeno, was pretty nice of them. I think someone said it had swif.... swifdef or something on it, but when I found it, it was all gone and it was just back to being a regular sword or something. I dunno about that kinda thing." She shrugs her shoulders a bit and swigs down more ale.
She downs her drink, evidently getting more drunk as the evening progresses. This was a usual state for Seryn so she didn't really care.

Elandowyn frowns "that certainly does sounds connected to me. Where was this? in Clydesdale? "

"Hmmmm, interesting, I think I know the hiring you mean, Dunlirron, correct? It would seem that these events have some vague similarity"

Seryn looks at Marcus with a cross between confusion, disgust and bemusement, giving her the oddest looking expression on her face.
"Yeno.... I do like my ale.... And I know I like to get drunk.... But I'm pretty sure I wasn't that drunk that day and I'm pretty sure you wasn't wif us. There was me, jea....jeaaaaan..... Jeanie? Jan? The guiadonese knight with the pretty hair. And there was the guy in the hat. Yeah... I don't think he likes me much... Um. Then there was a Magey man. I never caught his name, he just seemed to stand back and not do very much... But you.... Wasn't there."

"Ah. I guess that makes sense then"
Seryn mulls over quietly for a moment - something that rarely occurs - while staring into the bottom of her empty drinking vessel. It's anyone's guess to what was crossing her mind, if anything at all. She could be contemplating the meaning of life, or debating on having yet another refill.
Suddenly she looks up and addresses the question asked by Elandowyn. "Aye it was Dunlirron. Had never been there afore. It was really exciting! We bashed loads of skeletons and stuff!"
Seryn goes quiet again, and clumsily gets up from her seat before staggering over to the bar with her abused tankard in hand. It had seen too many nights of Seryn drinking her life away. It kept her happy and allowed her to forget the things she'd rather not remember. Flopping over the bar top again, she shouts for the poor keep once again. "Keeeep.... " She hears a loud sigh from behind the bar and the forlorn looking bar keep reappears. "This is yer last o the night lass. Had enough o yer trouble last night"
Seryn rolls her eyes takes the fresh supply of ale and staggers back to Elandowyn and Marcus.

Elandowyn smiles watching Seryn stagger off before turning back to Marcas. "She certainly knows how to kick back and relax doesn't she." She chuckles before returning to a more serious expression and tone. "I wouldn't be surprised if the attacks in Dunlirron were also linked the this group causing trouble here. Similar target and the same peculiar weapon. If that is the case they have a wide reach and organisation. We should be especially prepared for this. I suggest contacting Kelvin Rustland about the alchemy in healing fund. Especially with regard to poisons as they seem fond of this."

Marcus chuckles darkly, evidently remembering a night from the not so distant past. "You are quite correct Elandowyn, it does seem to be too similar to be mere coincidence. How does the healing fund work? I haven't heard anything about it, all though that's hardly surprising given how short my time among the adventuring community has been."
As Seryn arrives back at the table Marcus stands and guides her back into her seat, before she falls and hurts herself.

"The healing fund was set up by a Vleyborian adventurer to assist the adventurers of Lirron with protecting themselves on the missions they undertake. You request what you need and donate when you can. When he moved to Ithron to take up a church appointment, my master in the Physicians Guild, Kelvin Rustland volunteered to take over the fund. He also added a side pool for physicians supplies as this was needed." She pauses to sip her drink "He doesn't get out on missions often but he is always contactable at the physicians guild if you need something from the fund"

"Right, I will get in contact with him as soon as possible, for obvious reasons purge poisons would prove to be of utmost importance, due to my profession and the costs involved, repaying the kindness could take some time."
Marcas fishes out his coin purse, it seems to be distinctly empty.
"The path of Knighthood is very rewarding in many ways, but coin isn't one of them."

Marcas drags himself to his feet, "Would you excuse me for a moment." He heads slowly towards the door, fishing parchment, quill and ink from one of his pouches as he goes. After a few minutes he returns.
As he lowers himself back into his seat he says in a low voice "A pigeon has been dispatched to your master Elandowyn, requesting whatever aid can be spared from the healing fund, particularly purge poisons."

Elandowyn nods. "Good, he should get back to you fairly quickly. If not I'll stop into the guild house and check he has received his messages."

Without the other two realising, Seryn had nodded off on her seat. Her pint of freshly poured ale, dripping out of her tankard onto the floor. The first point Marcus and Elandowyn have an awareness that Seryn is no longer with them is when she starts to talk in her sleep...
"... No mummy..... I don't want to go back to Netherburn.... It smells...." Seryn continues to snore lightly.

A small smile appears Marcas' face. "SERYN" He yells, "YOU'VE SPILT YOUR BEER"
