Limping heavily from wounds sustained at the last hiring, Marcas slowly moves down the center of the Cathedral, leaning heavily on a walking cane. As he reaches the Shrine to Crowa, he slowly lowers himself to his knees in front of the shrine and bows his head in prayer. "Lady Crowa, goddess of battle, protector of the weak. I come before you today to ask your forgiveness, I have taken no oaths to your service but I have also taken up your holy symbol during my recent battles. I feel that I am unable to conduct myself with the skill at arms and courage as befits a member of your church. Maybe some day I will be able to take my first steps along the path of devotion to you My Lady, but I do not feel that that time has come yet."
Marcas stays where he is for several moments before hauling himself heavily to his feet, removing his holy symbol as he stands, placing it very gently in a pouch at his belt. He then limps away to find the Traldan Shrine, he approaches one the attending priests, saying "I'm to speak with Elandowyn McCrae, a priestess of Tralda, to my shame I can not remember her rank within the church. If you see her, could please tell her Marcas McGowan wishes to speak with her about a matter most urgent." Marcas then bows slightly and withdraws back towards the center of the cathedral. He finds himself a nice quiet pew and sits down, beginning to contemplate the things he has seen recently.

Elandowyn sits in a pew by the Traldan shrine working on a missive with a look of careful concentration on her face. She doesn't see the attendant approach as she is working and almost jumps in the air as they speak.
"Mother Ellen, there's a Marcas McGowan here to see you."
"Thank you. Where is he?"
The attendant points to the centre of the cathedral were Marcas is sitting.
"Good. Can you take this missive to the pigeon roost and see that it gets to it's intended destination as a matter of urgency."
Elandowyn points to the recipiant and the attendant nods and hurries away.
Elandowyn approaches Marcas with a smile "Welcome to the Traldan shrine how can I help you."

Marcas stands painfully, gripping his cane. He allows a pained but wry smile to creep across his face. "Thank you Elandowyn, I believe this may be the first time I have spent any length of time in this part of the Cathedral. I seek your advice on a personal matter, both as a Priestess of Tralda and as a friend. Since our... little trip, I have had... dreams? visions? I don't know about these things. The Lord of In Between has featured in them all, something about three pieces of information but he wants something in return for each piece of information." He slowly lowers himself back to the pew, "I don't know whether to act on this, I certainly don't wish to act alone.

Elandowyn sighs and sits beside him in the pew "Yes I have experienced similar. A change in terms of the offer made to us or they have the information already and have been kind enough to inform us of the value they have put on such. Fae are difficult creatures and sadly I know very little about them other than stories and experiences of other adventurers. And all accounts are variable at best. Bargining with the is particularly difficult for me as fae bargins tend to have loose interperatations and if they believe they have been deceived I will offend my Lady. We need to proceed with caution whatever we do."

Marcas stares off into space for several moments before speaking again. "I wouldn't want you to risk offending Lady Tralda, I will do it, I will put up the payment for the information. It is the least I can do."

Elandowyn's eyebrows raise slightly "Careful now, that is a very noble thing, perhaps a little fool hardy, but there is no need to put yourself forward so readily."
She thinks for a moment before continuing. "I meant that I would have to be extreemly careful how such things are phrased. I am more than willing - praise be to Tralda - to take the risk if it means that we gain insight into what the Githasian's are doing. Anything to stop this menace the better."

Marcas sits forward, his face solemn. "I do not do this to be noble, but to my duty to the realm. Then allow me to bear the brunt of danger, better the Fae hold more in sway over someone like myself, than a Mother of the priesthood." Marcas shakes his head sorrowfully "There is much to be lost and maybe gained in the coming months, we must therefore be careful what we other as payment."

Delfin enters the Catherdral. Aproaching the shrines of the seven he bows deferance to each of them - he leaves Tralda to last, a full bow in deferance & dropping a few pennies into the shrine for luck.
Delfin wanders over to where he has seen Marcas & Elandowyn sitting & talking. "Greetings to you both, may I sit. Some things have been troubling me & they seamed to be linked to our recent hiring."

Marcas starts slightly as Delfin speaks but quickly regains his composure. Gesturing to the pew he speaks: "Delfin, it is good to see you again. The things that have been troubling you, have they been dreams? visions? of the Lord of In Between offering information in return for something?"

"Marcas yes they have. As you manages to stare exactly what I have experienced I get the feeling the same has happened to you. The Lord of in Between offers Information in return for upto 3 gifts i think. More information for more gifts. I am not sure about making deals with the Fae is a dangerous thing as from what i can tell they are tricksey. Though as a scout i do want to know. What are your thoughts?"

"From the little folklore i know of the fae, making deals with them can be very dangerous, they hold to their word, no more no less. I do believe that the gain out weighs the risk, especially if these gains can give us what we need to stop the heretics in Torrance. We must be careful in what we offer though." Marcas shakes his head. "Offer too much and they have may have a hold over you, too little and it may cause them insult."

"Well maybe we need to ask him what kind of gifts he would be interested in? At least give us an idea of what kind of deal we might have to make, if we can share the burden of the gifts it will mean less loss of one of us though it will mean more of us can have something held over us" A thoughtful look crosses Delfins face "Though to stop what is happening in Torrance is no bad thing."

"I would think that it would be left to the individual to decide what they consider to be worthwhile. How to share the burden was something Elandowyn and I were discussing, it would seem best for one of us to each offer something."

"I think your right. Marcas should you decide to go through with it let us know what you find out, it would be unwise of us to make a deal & then not share the information we are after. It will also allow us to decide how much the information is worth & what it may bring."

Marcas stares off into space for several minutes, deep in thought, when suddenly his eyes roll into the back off his head, he falls off the pew onto the floor and begins to shake violently. After several minutes it stops, Marcas awakens, lying flat on his back staring up at the ceiling, a priest of Vleybor by his side trying to rouse him. He pulls himself painfully to his feet, his cane having knocked away during the fit. Once he's sat back on the pew, the Priest again tries to make sure he's ok. "Brother, I am fine, nothing to worry about but I thank you for your diligence"
Once the priest has gone, Marcas turns back to Elandowyn and Delfin, his face very pale. "Well, that was vaguely unpleasant."
