These are a list of Traders that we know are safe and good! Please feel free to add your own with a description of what services they provide and some feedback. If you have anything to say about any particular trader, feel free to let us all know; good or bad.
Weapons/Shields/Props:
Skian Mhor LRP Suppliers - Sean Maguire at Skian Mhor does very high quality weapons, shields and props. He also does arrows, and lots more stuff. He also takes Custom orders.
Sword in the Foam - Run by Glasgow branch ref Leah (me!) I make weapons and also do costume and props and pretty much anything you could want. Any problems with things I'm happy to fix broken weapons or touch-up any tears in latex etc. I also do hats
Having a Larp - Having a LARP do weapons, armour, costume and pretty much everything.
Armour:
Darkblade - Darkblade are excellent for leather armour. Couldn't attest to anything else from them, but I know that a lot of people use them. They also do nice pouches and soft kit.
White Rose Apparel - They do very very shiny armour. Leather and metal. Want!
Costume:
Custom Costume Company - Their stuff is so beautiful it makes me want to cry sometimes. They're fairly expensive, though.
The Midguard Seamstress - I've heard good things, and her stuff looks very nice.
Stay Away From:
LRP Store - I've had a selection of soft kit that all broke within a month, wasn't what I ordered. They have a generally quite bad reputation. Azguz bought a dagger that tipped after first event, and various other bad experiences have been had. EDIT - They have now closed for business. DO NOT ORDER from their website as they cannot complete any orders from now on.
Velvet Glove - It's a bloody shame, because Velvet Glove do some amazing kit, but the number of stories I've heard recently about people having to wait a very, very long time or not recieving their orders means I'd put them in this category. If things change, maybe they'll sort themselves out. I would say, if they're trading at an event and you don't have to wait for kit - they're awesome! Don't be put off their quality, if you can get it then and there, go for it!
Eldritch - Their weapons are very hit or miss, some are bad quality and have broken very quickly. They're also having problems with getting your orders to you, though apparently they've got better recently.
The Viking Store - They have had a lot LOT lot of problems with getting orders to people within a reasonable time frame (if at all). They are also very difficult to get a hold of.
